A man was removed from a Caribbean Airlines flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica to Fort Lauderdale this afternoon.
The passengers on the flight were aboard in taxi for two hours when the man expressed his dissatisfaction which prompted the crew to remove him from the aircraft, according to witnesses.
The plane starting experiencing delays from its early morning travel from Kingston to Fort Lauderdale due to bad weather. The earlier delays also led to some rerouting and refueling issues, according to a recording of pilot making an announcement on the intercom.
“There has been some disagreements. There was an unruly passenger,” said the pilot. “We have elected not to fly with that passenger today. Since simple instructions cannot be followed, and he seem to have an issue with what’s being said.”
WZPP’s own DJ Mikey Mikey was also a passenger on the flight and reported the issue, said he believed the passenger was treated unfairly since he was not disrespectful to the crew or other passengers.
The flight was originally scheduled to leave Montego Bay at 12:55 p.m. and arrive at 3:35 p.m. Instead the flight departed 2:09 p.m. and made it to Fort Lauderdale at 4:59 p.m.
