Soca singer, Devon Matthews died on Saturday after he fainted backstage at scheduled performance.
According to Trinidad Express, the 36-year-old singer of “D Journey Remix (Make It)” fell ill during a event called Festival of Bands after complaining about acid reflux. He was then taken to St. Clair Medical Center, but doctors failed to revive him.
Matthews was also a radio personality on Trinidad and Tobago’s RED 96.7 FM. He came in third place in 2017 Young Kings and Soca Monarch competitions.

This probably the 16th time I'm posting this pic for the year. Since the first night I saw the pic it held depth @drealdev @jaigatc @sammiecalle @jspunky @bunjigarlin the way Devon graced the stage at Ladies night out and the crowd embrace was a testimony of a man who said from early that he doesn't care what anyone thinks he is not giving up and they way he dealt with it it was a new human being that understood how to handle his purpose.
